GPI Halifax Add-On Services

Providing Inspections for Halifax, Dartmouth, Eastern Passage, Armdale, Timberlea, Lake Echo, Porters Lake and Surrounding Areas

In addition to general residential and commercial property inspections, GPI offers a suite of services that can be tailored to your specific needs. Below, you will find a list of each additional service offered by your local GPI Halifax team.

Using an infrared camera specially designed to identify changes in temperature, your GPI inspector will scan and analyze your home’s walls, ceilings and more. Hot spots can indicate potential hazards such as wiring issues, while cold spots can mean moisture or missing insulation. An infrared inspection sheds light on the small issues you can’t see before they become big problems. Click here to learn more about infrared imaging from NPI.

Regular use of your home’s fireplace creates creosote, a black, oily substance on the interior surfaces of your chimney. Creosote buildup is highly combustible and causes chimney fires, which can melt mortar and create a pathway for fire to spread throughout your home. Your GPI inspector can check for creosote buildup, determine the condition of your chimney and recommend needed repairs.

Your GPI inspector can check your basement, crawl spaces, attic, carpet and more for potentially hazardous mold. If mold is suspected, samples can be collected and analyzed to confirm the extent of the contamination and determine necessary remediation. Click here to learn more about infrared imaging from NPI.

Your GPI inspector can provide many different types of field services, including occupancy status inspections, property assessment and condition reports, insurance risk assessment inspections, REO foreclosures and more. Any of these services can be tailored to your specific needs.
